We only hire Registered, Certified, or Licenced veterinary technicians. Our technicians have a minimum of 3 years of experience, are experienced in emergency and critical care, and have been individually interviewed and screened before offering services on the Felix and Fido platform. Furthermore, all of our technicians have submitted a clean criminal record check. Your pet’s well-being and safety are our number one priority.
For Pet Owners
How To Use
Begin by signing up and making a profile for each of your pets. Be sure to include relevant medical history, temperament, and which vet hospital you currently bring your buddy to!
Once your pet has a profile, browse through the veterinary technicians in your area. When you find someone who looks like a good fit for you and your pet, choose the treatment you would like to book, i.e., palliative care, nail trims, bandage changes, etc., then book an available time slot! You can contact the technician in your area and speak directly with them anytime!
Your veterinary technician will accept the appointment and come to your home for the agreed-upon date and time. Be sure to mark the appointment as complete and give your technician a review to help other pet parents learn how awesome they were!
Can’t find a service you want? No problem at all! You can send out a generic request, and the technicians in your area will receive a notification of what you’re looking for. They will be able to message you directly and let you know how they can help!
***All services are paid upfront and held onto by the Felix and Fido platform. Your technician does not receive payment until you mark the service as complete. If, in the unlikely event, your technician does not show up to your appointment, you will be reimbursed the total amount.
For RVT's
How To Use
To offer your services through Felix and Fido, you need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience, submit your registration, license, or certification number for validation, and be in good standing with your regulatory body. Fear-free certification and Emergency and Critical Care experience are an asset.
If you meet the above minimum standards, please sign up as a credentialed veterinary technician. You must upload your resume and registration/license/certification number. Upon receiving your application, we will send you a link to book a virtual interview where we can ensure we are both a good fit for each other.
Once approved, you can upload a picture of yourself and give an excellent summary of what makes you love being a veterinary technician and how you can help the pets in your community. List the services you want to offer, and update your availability in the calendar so clients know exactly when they can book you!
When you receive a booking request, you can accept or decline it. If accepted, be sure to reach out to your new client, introduce yourself, and better understand their pet's needs. After you finish the appointment, the pet parent will mark the booking as complete, and the funds will be automatically deposited into your bank account.
*** All services are paid upfront and held onto by the Felix and Fido platform. You do not receive payment until the pet parent marks the service as complete. Clients who cancel before 24 hours of an appointment will be reimbursed the total amount. If they cancel in less than 24 hours, they will receive 50% back; if they cancel in less than 6 hours, they must pay in full.
